Your first hour with us

Three steps, nothing to buy

  • You write, we answer. One tap opens WhatsApp with the message ready. We reply within minutes and offer a day that fits your week.
  • Come 20 minutes early. We fit skates, a helmet and full protective gear in your child's size. Bring long socks and tracksuit bottoms, that is all.
  • 60 minutes on the ice. A coach takes the group, you watch from the stands. Afterwards we tell you which group suits your child. No one signs anything that day.

Never stood on skates? Half the kids who walk in have not. The session starts with balance and first strides, and a coach stays with the beginners the whole hour.

Before you book

Do we need to buy skates or gear?+
Not for the first session. We lend skates, a helmet with a cage and full protective gear in your child's size. Bring long socks, tracksuit bottoms and gloves if you have them.
My child has never skated. Is that a problem?+
No. Beginners are the reason the trial exists. Coaches start with standing up, balance and first strides, and our Mirdif branch is built for kids who are learning and playing for fun.
How old does my child have to be?+
We take children from 4 to 18. Send us the birth year on WhatsApp and we will name the right group. Adults have their own sessions, see adult hockey.
Where exactly do you train?+
Sport Society Mall, Mirdif, about 15 minutes from Downtown, Creek Harbour and Sobha Hartland. Indoor ice, changing rooms with showers, mall parking. From September we also open Galaxy Arena in Oud Metha, the same drive from those areas. Open in Google Maps.
Is it safe for a small child?+
Your child skates in full protection: helmet with a face cage, shoulder, elbow, knee and shin guards. Groups are split by age and level, and every session is run by a coach. Longer answer here: is hockey safe for kids.
What does it cost after the free session?+
Full season or a single term, for kids and adults. We send you the fee sheet in the chat before you decide anything, and you can look at it first on the prices page.
Why does the free trial end on 1 September?+
The 2026/27 season starts on 1 September. Until then we keep trials open so families can stand on the ice before committing. From 1 September a try-out costs 150 AED per hour.
