Age groups for the 2026/27 season

Groups follow date of birth. A coach moves a player by level, development and size, so a strong skater trains where the level fits.

Where the season is played

◆Sport Society, Mirdif: the home arena, full-size real indoor ice (60×30 m). Beginners and developing players train here.
◆Galaxy Arena, Oud Metha: opening soon. Places go to players who show level and discipline, and the academy decides.
◆Players move between the two as their level changes.
◆About 15 minutes from Creek Harbour, Sobha Hartland and Downtown outside peak hours.

Coaching staff

Two new coaches for 2026/27

Both joined for this season, alongside the staff already coaching 500+ players from 38 nationalities.

Coach

Nikita Kozhevnikov

Played at professional level, including CSKA Moscow, and brings coaching experience. Works on skating and skills across the age groups.

Goaltending · strength & conditioning

Emil Khramov

Professional goaltending career and a long coaching record. Runs goalie sessions and the off-ice strength work.

Season schedule by group

Mirdif is Sport Society, Galaxy Arena is Oud Metha. Ice slots run 60 minutes, off-ice runs November to April. Times can shift for weather or arena work: we warn in the group chat, and about nine spare hours sit in the plan to make sessions up.

Joining the season after 1 September

Most families find us mid-season: a move to Dubai in October, a child who watched a game at the mall rink. Groups take new players while places last. The limit is ice time, and each group has a fixed slot in the week.

Come for a trial, free for one child all September. Gear can be provided.
The coach places the player by level, development and size, not only by birth year.
Pick the full season or a single term. Payment is upfront and is not refundable. Regular training needs full gear, two jersey sets and a medical clearance.

Season 2026/27 FAQ

Can my child join after 1 September?

Yes. Groups take new players while places last. Galaxy runs one team per age group, so the ice time is fixed and the earlier a child starts, the more of the season they play.

What does a trial session cost?

The first session is free for one child, all September. After that a player joins on a full-season or single-term package. Ask on WhatsApp for the current price for the group.

My child has never skated. Which group?

Beginners start at Sport Society in Mirdif, on skating and balance first. A coach places a player by level, development and size, not only by birth year, and can move them later.

Do we need our own equipment?

Gear can be provided for the first sessions. For regular training a player needs full protective gear and two jersey sets, light and dark; one of each colour comes with the full-season package.

Can we pay by term instead of the full season?

Yes. Terms run 1 September to 31 December, 1 January to 31 March, and 1 April to 30 June. Payment is upfront and is not refundable or transferable.
