Galaxy trains on real indoor ice at Sport Society Mall in Mirdif, about 15 minutes by car from Business Bay and Downtown outside rush hour. Parking sits at the door of the mall, so the walk from the car to the bench is short even with a kit bag over your shoulder. Our own rink, Galaxy Arena in Oud Metha, opens soon and will land closer to the canal towers. Until it does, every group skates in Mirdif on a full-size 60x30 m sheet that holds its ice through August and through Ramadan alike.
Six families from Business Bay and Downtown sit on the 2026/27 roster right now, next to 300+ players from 38 nations. About half the parents speak Russian, and the rest come from the Emirates, China, Korea, Britain, France, Spain and the United States. A new child hears three languages in the changing room and still gets a line in the first ten minutes.
U10 and U12 take the ice Tuesday and Thursday at 18:45. That leaves time to close the laptop, collect your child and drive out before the session starts. U14 and U16 skate at 20:00 on the same evenings, and the youngest groups, U6 and U8, train at 17:15. Sunday morning adds ice at 8:00 for U10 and U12 and 9:15 for U14 and U16, when the road out of Downtown is empty and the family is home before lunch. Saturday runs off-ice conditioning.
Groups run from U6 to U16, and a child can start at 4 with no skating behind them. Coaches spend the first sessions on balance, stopping and simple puck touches, then move a player into small games once the basics hold. Rental skates, stick, helmet and pads wait at the rink, so nothing needs buying before you know whether your child likes it. Gear covers a player head to toe, and body contact begins only at 12 to 14, so a six year old plays a non-contact game.
The first session is free for one child, all September. After that the numbers are open on our pricing page: term 1 from September to December AED 6,900, term 2 from January to March AED 5,900, term 3 from April to June AED 5,600, or AED 17,500 for the full season, with 5% VAT on top. The season package covers a minimum of 109 ice hours between September and June, plus one light and one dark game jersey.
