Sport Society Mall in Mirdif sits straight inland from the Jumeirah strip. Al Wasl to Sheikh Zayed, then across on Al Khail or Ras Al Khor, and you park under the mall. Sunday morning ice is the easiest run of the week: the road is empty at 8:00.

Kite Beach, the swim squads, the tennis courts off Al Wasl: families here have the outdoor options covered. Ice is the one surface the neighbourhood does not have. From June to September the beach is unusable by mid-morning and the rink runs at the same temperature it always does, so training never pauses for the weather. Skating builds balance and leg strength that running on sand will not, and the locker room is international. Galaxy trains 300+ players from 38 nations on the same ice.
Sunday morning is the slot to aim for. U10 and U12 take the ice at 8:00, U14 and U16 at 9:15, and Al Khail is empty in both directions at that hour. Weekday ice runs Tuesday and Thursday, 18:45 for U10 and U12, 20:00 for U14 and U16. Leave Umm Suqeim straight after school pickup and the 18:45 works comfortably. U6 and U8 train at Sport Society Mall as well, and we confirm the time for the two youngest groups on WhatsApp before your first visit. Saturday mornings are off-ice conditioning, 9:15 and 10:30. Galaxy runs one team per age: U6, U8, U10, U12, U14 and U16. Coaches move a player between groups by level, size and how fast they develop, so a strong seven year old is not stuck skating circles. Beginners arrive every week and start with balance, stopping and first puck touches before anyone talks about drills. Body contact begins at 12 to 14, so a six year old plays a non-contact game inside full protective gear that covers head to toe. Skates, stick, helmet and pads wait at the rink, so there is nothing to buy before you find out whether your child likes it. Warm clothes they can move in cover the rest. Full season, 1 September to 30 June, costs 17,500 AED. Split by term it is 6,900 AED for term one, 5,900 AED for term two and 5,600 AED for term three. VAT of 5% is added on top. The regular schedule carries at least 109 hours of ice across the season, and the full-season package includes one light and one dark jersey set.
