Galaxy isn't only where Dubai learns hockey — it's where Dubai plays it. We're a real ice hockey club with 500+ members from 38 nationalities, fielding teams from tiny U6 first-timers all the way up to the Galaxy Warriors in the Emirates Hockey League.

Join and you're not a customer on a schedule — you're on a roster. You get a team, teammates, a jersey, a coach who knows your name, and games to look forward to. All on real indoor ice at Sport Society Mall in Mirdif, kept cold through every Dubai summer.

How to join the club

Joining Galaxy takes one message. There's no trial fee and no commitment to start — here's exactly how it works:

  • 1 · Message us — tap WhatsApp and tell us the player's age and whether they've skated before. We reply the same day.
  • 2 · Come skate — free — your first session is on us. We provide gear, so you turn up, lace up and get on the ice with no risk.
  • 3 · Meet your team — we match you to the right age group or adult side and you start training and playing with your teammates.
  • 4 · Wear the purple — you're a member. Games, league nights and tournaments — the full club life.

Most people who join have never played. You'll begin in a beginner group where coaches teach skating, balance and puck skills patiently — no experience, no fear, no judgement. The coaching

Play under pros.

A club is only as good as who runs its bench. Ours is led by coaches who've played and coached at the highest levels — among them Artiom Senkevich, former Head Coach of the UAE national ice hockey team, with a playing career in the KHL and the Belarus national team.

That means real technique, real structure and real game sense — for the kid taking a first stride and the adult chasing a spot on the Warriors alike.

The Galaxy Warriors are the club's senior side, carrying our purple into the Emirates Hockey League. It's the same club a six-year-old joins — one pathway, all the way to league night.

Our junior sides travel and win too, bringing home medals and trophies from tournaments abroad, from Belgrade to Bishkek. This is a club that actually plays — proudly backed by AMYLCO.

Where the club plays

Real ice in Mirdif — easy to reach.

The club's home rink is the ice arena at Sport Society Mall, Mirdif, Dubai. It's a short drive from Mirdif City Centre and easily reached from across the city by car, taxi or ride-hail — with parking right at the mall.

And the future is bigger still: the GLXY Sport Hub, the UAE's first dual-ice arena, opens at Al Nasr Leisureland in 2026 — an NHL-size main rink plus a dedicated training surface, the new home of the club.

How do I join an ice hockey club in Dubai?+
Message Galaxy on WhatsApp at +971 50 859 9547 and we'll book you a free first session. We match you to the right team by age and level, and provide gear so you can just come and skate. From there you join the club and start training and playing with your team.
Can I play ice hockey in Dubai with no experience?+
Yes. Most people who join Galaxy have never played before. You'll start in a beginner group, learn to skate and handle the puck, and move into games when you're ready. Rental gear is available, so you don't need to own equipment. Want a soft first step? Book a free try-hockey session.
Is there an adult ice hockey team in Dubai?+
Yes. Galaxy runs adult sessions and pick-up games for every level, from total beginners to experienced players, plus the Galaxy Warriors who compete in the Emirates Hockey League. See adult hockey.

The club fields teams across U6, U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18, plus adult sides. Children can start from around age 4–5 in learn-to-skate, then join the age group that fits — see the kids teams.
